By: Ismaeel Aleem

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has celebrated his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Kolapo Akinleye, on his birthday, describing him as the engine room of his administration and the class captain of the cabinet.

In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke praised Akinleye’s leadership acumen, political experience and unwavering loyalty, noting that his ability to coordinate people, manage competing interests and navigate challenging situations had remained invaluable to the administration.

The Governor acknowledged that political leadership often comes with difficult moments, tough decisions and disagreements, commending Akinleye for standing by him through the various challenges they had encountered on their political journey.

“Politics is not always a smooth ride. There are difficult moments, tough decisions, disagreements and seasons when the path ahead is uncertain. Alhaji Kazeem has stood with me through the ups and downs, and his loyalty has remained firm,” Adeleke said.

He added that the Chief of Staff understood both the responsibilities that came with electoral victory and the hard work required to sustain the confidence of the people.

Adeleke further described Akinleye as a practical problem-solver who combines grassroots political knowledge with the organisational discipline required to ensure the smooth running of government activities.

Beyond his official responsibilities, the Governor described the celebrant as a dependable brother and committed team player whose contributions had helped strengthen coordination within the cabinet.

“Beyond the title of Chief of Staff, Kazeem is a dependable brother and a committed team player. I call him the class captain of my cabinet because he understands the importance of coordination, collective responsibility and keeping everyone focused on the task before us,” he stated.

The Governor also acknowledged Akinleye’s contributions to their political journey, including the challenges they faced before securing electoral victory, noting that his commitment and sacrifices remained appreciated.

Adeleke wished the Chief of Staff good health and many more prosperous years, urging him to remain dedicated to the service of Osun State and its people.
