Senator Fadahunsi congratulates Governor Adeleke on re-election

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has congratulated Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State.

In a statement dated Friday, September 4, 2026, Senator Fadahunsi, on behalf of himself, his political family, associates, and the good people of Osun East Senatorial District, described the governor’s victory as well-deserved.

He noted that Governor Adeleke had won the confidence and electoral franchise of the people for a second term and prayed that God Almighty would grant him the wisdom, strength, and grace to surpass his previous achievements.

“I also pray that you will consolidate the gains of your first-term and deliver even more dividends of democracy to our people especially my Senatorial District,” the statement read.

Senator Fadahunsi further assured the governor of his continued support, collaboration, and partnership, pledging to work together with him and other stakeholders for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Osun State.

He concluded by once again congratulating the governor on the well-deserved re-election.

APC challenges Adeleke’s August victory as Osun tribunal posts election petitions

The petition was posted on the notice board of the tribunal in Osogbo on Monday, September 7, marking the commencement of the tribunal’s procedural process following the August 15 governorship election. The tribunal secretary, Pefe Belemore, had earlier indicated that the petitions would be displayed before noon, as preparations for proceedings continued at the tribunal’s secretariat. Two petitions have been filed challenging the outcome of the August 15 election, which saw Adeleke declared winner.
