POYSN begins constituency mobilisation, consultations ahead of 2027 Reps election

By Admin:-.

The Pelumi Olajengbesi Youth and Student Network (POYSN) has commenced its constituency mobilisation and consultation process ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election in the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State.

The network held its inaugural meeting with representatives from all 22 wards across Obokun and Oriade Local Government Areas, marking the beginning of a structured grassroots engagement in support of Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi’s aspiration to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members and supporters to formally connect, deliberate on the journey ahead and discuss plans to establish a strong and coordinated ward-level structure across the constituency.

The leadership of POYSN said the network would now move beyond its initial online formation into physical constituency engagement, consultations and ward-by-ward mobilisation, with members expected to strengthen representation across the two local government areas.

According to the network, the initiative is founded on the belief that any serious political aspiration must be rooted in genuine grassroots engagement and regular interaction with the people.

As part of the next phase, POYSN plans to consult with youths, students, community stakeholders and other relevant groups across the constituency, while creating opportunities for young people to participate actively in the political process.

The network also emphasised the importance of youth and student participation in politics, noting that young people should not only participate as supporters during election periods but should also contribute ideas, energy and leadership to conversations about the future of their communities.

The mobilisation and consultation process will also provide an avenue for members to better understand and communicate Pelumi Olajengbesi’s vision and aspirations to constituents, while listening to issues, expectations and concerns from communities across Obokun and Oriade.

With the inaugural meeting concluded, the network is now set to commence its next phase of activities, beginning with the strengthening of its ward-level structure and further consultations across the constituency.

POYSN reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful, issue-based and people-oriented political engagement as it begins its mobilisation towards the 2027 House of Representatives election.
