MRS filling stations supplied by Dangote Refinery have reduced their petrol pump price in Abuja from N1,395 to N1,370 per litre.
A market survey on Monday showed that the company had adjusted its pump price at its Katampe outlet and a station along the Lugbe Expressway.
The latest adjustment represents a N25 reduction per litre.
The development comes about a week after Dangote Refinery reduced its gantry price for petrol from N1,350 to N1,325 per litre.
Following the latest adjustment by MRS, petrol now sells for between N1,370 and N1,450 per litre in Abuja and its environs, depending on the filling station.
The reduction by MRS could put pressure on other retailers to review their pump prices, particularly filling stations that source their petrol from Dangote Refinery.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is also among the major petrol marketers that source products from domestic refineries.
The latest price movement comes amid continued fluctuations in petrol prices across the country following changes in crude oil prices, refining costs and market conditions.
