Crownrise Development Initiative Urges CSOs to Unite Behind National Summit 2026

The Executive Director of Crownrise Development Initiative, Com. Adetunji Ajala, has commended Hon. Kunle Yusuf, Director-General, CSCHEI and National Convener of the Civil Society Organisation Summit 2026, for his sustained efforts to strengthen civil society participation in community development and humanitarian action. Com Ajala made the commendation while assessing the impact of the recently held Southern Civil Society Organisations Summit in Lagos, describing the gathering as an important platform for dialogue, networking and coordinated action among civil society organisations, government and development stakeholders.
He urged registered civil society organisations across the country to support the National Summit and work collectively towards its objectives. “The value of this summit will ultimately be measured by what it achieve beyond the conference room. CSOs must bring their expertise, networks and resources together to turn dialogue into practical interventions that improve lives and strengthen communities,” he said.

He also appreciated the government and technical partners for supporting the initiative, noting that sustained collaboration is essential to addressing Nigeria’s development and humanitarian challenges. According to him, the momentum generated by the Southern Summit should be extended to the national level through stronger grassroots participation and partnerships focused on youth development, women’s empowerment, health, livelihoods and community resilience. “Nigeria must be FIRST in all our engagements. Our shared responsibility is to put national development and the wellbeing of our people at the centre of every partnership,” comrade Ajala stated.

The Executive Director congratulated the organisers and participants of the Southern Summit and called for continued engagement among CSOs, government institutions, development partners and communities. He expressed confidence that the Civil Society Organisation Summit 2026 can provide a practical framework for converting collective ideas into sustainable programmes and measurable development outcomes across Nigeria. He encouraged the convener not to give up but be committed to building an inclusive system that support National Development.
